Hey everyone! Sorry about not sending out an email last week. I didn't have enough time to write one. I'll try and put in everything that happened from the week I missed. We had a baptism! Our friend Marcelino that has been waiting for his fiancé to move here from Angola so they could get baptized was baptized on the 18th. Unfortunately His fiancé had some document/visa problems so she still isn't able to come yet. But they decided they would at least be baptized on the same day on their anniversary, which was awesome. Marcelino is awesome, and he hasn't missed a single Sunday for 40 straight weeks. So he will be an awesome addition to the branch. We also had zone conference on St. Patrick's Day which was awesome. Fun to get to see the rest of the zone and to talk with everyone. I also got some Lucky Charms in the mail, which was delicious. Thanks mom. Last week's p-day was as a zone. It was pretty fun. We all got together and played a bunch of gatorball, basket...

Lapa Family Reunion

Olá todos! Everything is going good here in Lapa. The missionary work is still going great. We've been able to find and teach quite a few people, which is awesome. We are going to have a baptism this Saturday too, so that will be super cool.  Last pday, we decided to go walk around Lisbon a bit. We went and got pastéis de belem, and ate at a few other little eateries. There was this place that made these pork sandwiches from a whole roasted pig. It looked really good, so we all got one. It was really good. Later this last weekend, we had a couple member meals. At the lunch, a guy came and joined us, and he turned out to be an RM that served here in the Lapa area a few years ago. He is from Bolivia originally, but just moved here to Portugal. He was super cool and fun to get to know. Then later for dinner, 3 others joined us, who also were RMs who served here in Lapa. So it was really cool talking to all my "ancestors" from Lapa. It was like a big family reunion. This past...

Olá todos! Sorry it's been a while. We had a temple trip today, so our pday was moved. But I definitely had an awesome week and a half. We had transfers on the 21st and I ended up getting transfered to Lisbon! My area covers all of downtown Lisbon, so we have lots of cool places to eat at and see. For those who can, there's a show on Netflix called "Somebody Eat Phil" where a guy eats food from around the world. In one episode he goes all around Lisbon, and every place he goes to is in my area. So if you're curious to see what it's like where I'm serving, that's a fun way to see. It's been super fun serving here too. The members in our branch are really cool, and super nice. Our church building is really cool. It's the oldest chapel in Portugal, where the church was established here. It's a big old mansion, and they still have all the old tiles and fireplaces and stuff. Super cool. We were able to teach a few awesome lessons, and find some ...
