Foi Um Milagre Mesmo

Olá everyone! This last week we had a pretty big miracle. Last Sunday, we had stake conference, and we had to take a bus to the stake center. We had a new friend come, and we talked together a lot. Turns out he was taught almost everything by other missionaries, and then moved to Caldas. He was super willing to get baptized, and wanted to do it on Saturday. He had good church attendance, and had a super strong testimony. We got the green light to go ahead and baptize him, and so I had the opportunity to baptize him on Saturday. It was such a cool experience! Being the one to help someone make a big choice, and help them get on the covenant path is the greatest feeling. So that was an awesome weekend.  I also got to go to the temple again this last week to do some baptisms. It was definitely a but strange doing them in Portuguese with crazy long names, but it was awesome! Definitely one of the highlights of the week. We got transfer news this Sunday, and I will be leaving Caldas, an...

Olá a todos! It's been only a few days since the last email, so this will be a but shorter. We had a good half week though. On Sunday, we had stake conference which was really cool. An old friend who had been in Angola since I first got here came with us, which was awesome. And we also had another guy come with us too, who we didn't know. Apparently he has been taught quite a bit by the missionaries a while back, and he really wants to be baptized. He remembers everything from all the lessons well, and will hopefully be baptized soon. He was an awesome guy! For p-day, we decided to go to a coastal town near Caldas, São Martinho. They had a huge fan-shaped bay which was fun to walk around. There was a huge sand dune there too we got to climb and mess around on, which was really fun. I about died walking up though, and nearly got tunnel vision. I guess thats what happens when you haven’t ran for a while, and get fed like royalty by all the members. Afterwards, we went and got gel...

Hey everyone! Not too much happened this past week and a half, but there were definitely a couple cool miracles. Two of our friends were finally able to make it to church this past sunday, which was awesome. One of them, Diana, we have been teaching for about a transfer and a half, so almost 9 weeks. It has been hard to have her come to church, but she is a single mom with no car, so it's understandable. But she finally came and loved it, so we were super excited about that. Foi um milage mesmo Caldas, our area is one of the bigger ones in the whole mission, but we don't have a car so it is really hard for us to the main part of the town to do missionary work. However, this last transfer we have been able to borrow the car the other elders in our apartment have, which they have to use to get over to their area. We switch our breakfast and study hours to go to other cities in our area to do some work. So that has been awesome to do some missionary stuff in different places, like...
