Foi Um Milagre Mesmo

Olá everyone!

This last week we had a pretty big miracle. Last Sunday, we had stake conference, and we had to take a bus to the stake center. We had a new friend come, and we talked together a lot. Turns out he was taught almost everything by other missionaries, and then moved to Caldas. He was super willing to get baptized, and wanted to do it on Saturday. He had good church attendance, and had a super strong testimony. We got the green light to go ahead and baptize him, and so I had the opportunity to baptize him on Saturday. It was such a cool experience! Being the one to help someone make a big choice, and help them get on the covenant path is the greatest feeling. So that was an awesome weekend.

I also got to go to the temple again this last week to do some baptisms. It was definitely a but strange doing them in Portuguese with crazy long names, but it was awesome! Definitely one of the highlights of the week.

We got transfer news this Sunday, and I will be leaving Caldas, and going to serve in Lisbon in the temple district, which is awesome. It will be a good experience serving in a big city and a big change compared to Caldas. I will definitely miss Caldas a ton.

For p-day, we went to Nazaré for the whole day. We got some good food, went to the beach to watch the waves, and walk around town a bunch. We rode the Ascensor de Nazaré, which was pretty fun. It's just a little train car that brings you up a steep hill. It was a fun day.

Scripture of the day: Helaman 5:12

And now, my sons, remember, remember that it is upon the rock of our Redeemer, who is Christ, the Son of God, that ye must build your foundation; that when the devil shall send forth his mighty winds, yea, his shafts in the whirlwind, yea, when all his hail and his mighty storm shall beat upon you, it shall have no power over you to drag you down to the gulf of misery and endless wo, because of the rock upon which ye are built, which is a sure foundation, a foundation whereon if men build they cannot fall.

Tenha uma boa semana!
