There Is No Way

Olá todo mundo!

Hope you guys are doing well. Not a lot of time has passed since the last email, so there isn't a whole ton to write about, but there is something absolutely crazy (at least to me) that happened during the past few days.

So my comp and I decided on a hunch that we would go and proselytize in Sintra, a town next to us, which we never do. It isn't really the best for missionary work since it is 90% tourists, but we decided to give it a chance. We did some contacts, and had lunch there. Once we were done, we started walking back to the train station to go back home. As we are walking back, we hear a huge group of people start yelling "ELDERS!!!" and it totally caught us off guard. It isn't super common to run into American members here in Portugal, but it happens maybe a few times to nearly every missionary here. So I thought that was awesome, but then I hear "KEATON!!" coming from the crowd and it low key freaked me out because I've never heard my name like that on my mission before. And then no one other than Claire Lucas steps out of the crowd. For those who don't know, she is one of my neighbors back home in Idaho. I had no idea she would be there in Sintra that day or that she was even doing a study abroad, so it was just the craziest coincidence to me. So that was a super awesome experience, and it was good to talk to someone from home for a bit.

On Easter, we had the privilege of eating dinner with an American family that has been living here for the past 6 months. That was super fun. Turns out they were also from Idaho, and so I got to talk to yet even more people from home, haha.

Today for pday, we decided to go to IKEA and mess around for a little. We got the meatballs, which is a must and walked around the maze of fake bedrooms and kitchens. It was a blast.

I don't have much more time to write, but I hope you guys all had a great Easter!

Tchau!!!
