Tasmanian Devil
Olá a todos!
Hope you all had an amazing conference weekend. It was definitely a good one for us. We were able to watch one of the sessions at a members house, and that meant that we got snacks to eat as we were watching. It was awesome. I especially liked the talk from Elder Holland about prayer. How we can have the entire world pray for someone, and it will be answered. Just maybe not in the exact way that we want, and confiding in the plan that God has. It was a funny opening too. He is awesome.
We focused a bit more this week on street contacts and knocking doors. So we got to see some cool places, and meet some cool people. However, one of them was not so great. We went into this building, and were making our way down from the top knocking doors. Then we knock one, and an old lady opens up. She's using a walker and can't move very well, and we start talking to her. Then her cat decides to walk out and start nestling and rubbing up on our legs and all that stuff. I was just watching it and didn't move a muscle, and then for some reason it decided it wanted to absolutely destroy my leg. It looked like the Tasmanian Devil from Looney Tunes tornadoeing around my leg hissing it's head off at me. It was sucky in the moment, but it was kinda funny. It was just so random and unprovoked. The old lady couldn't do anything about it, and we had to wait, trapped in the stairwell for about 5 minutes trying our hardest not to anger it anymore until the husband came and got it. So that was awesome. Got to clean up a bunch of scratch and bite marks all over my leg, and clean a bunch of blood off my pants. I love cats, haha
Today we had zone pday, and we went to one of the capelas. It was actually super fun. Lots of soccer, basketball, and sandwiches. I got to officiate a mile race between Elders Spencer and Read. It was super fun to watch. They were both really fast and each got under 5:10, which was awesome.
Unfortunately I've ran out of time to write more, but I hope you all have a great week!
Até a próxima!

- Zone P-day
- Found a cool tunnel
- I also found a really old book laying on the side of the road. It's an old prayer-a-day book from the 30's so that was a cool find
