I'm A Stepdad Now
Olá everyone!
Sorry I missed last week, I ran out of time. Lots has happened in the past two weeks, though. Last week was the last of the transfer, so not a whole ton happened. Just lots of final preparations and stuff to do. I did get to go to that really nice Japanese restaurant with Elder On, which was delicious. So it was a fun last week up in Chaves.
I got transferred down to Mem Martins! It's a part of Lisbon, so I will probably get to finish out my mission in the same few square miles I have for most of my mission. But I love Lisbon a ton, so I'm actually pretty happy about it. I am finishing the training of Elder Saibel, which is where "stepdad" comes from. So that is going to be fun. I do miss Chaves more than I thought I would, though. I was pretty anxious to leave, but looking back, it was definitely one of the biggest experiences of my mission. We did lots of fun things there.
For pday today, we went as a district to Cabo da Roca, which is a famous lighthouse on the coast of Portugal. It's got a ton of good views, and there's a fun hike down to the beaches below the cliffs. So we hung out there for a bit, just walking around and talking. There was a guy there playing guitar, and he was actually really good. So that was cool to listen to him. Unfortunately, the tide was too high, so we couldn't go down onto the beach like we planned, but we still did the hike, which was awesome.
I'm gonna be honest, I forgot lots of what happened the past two weeks, just cause it has been pretty hectic. So, unfortunately, I can't really think of anything else to really write about, haha. I'll be better about it next time!
Até mais!
