I'm Officially Brazilian

Olá everyone!

I once again apologize for skipping a week. Again. It just sometimes flies completely over my head. I'll try to be better from now on.

The past two weeks have been a bit of a blur, but I'll give a few quick highlights. Our last pday, we decided to go to Sintra, which is a cool little town in our area. I'm sure I've already talked about it, but it's got an awesome colorful palace on top of a hill there. For lunch, we met up with the other elders in the district, and went to this massive Chinese buffet. They converted a huge warehouse into this restaurant, só you almost got vertigo walking in. And for only 10€ we ate mountains of food and dessert. It was the greatest moment of my life.

Last Wednesday we had the opportunity to have a mission tour with Elder Godoy. He was super cool, and he spoke Portuguese which was even cooler. We learned a lot of amazing things about the Atonement of Jesus Christ, and how we can better and more effectively use it in our lives.

I have also had to start planning and making schedules for classes I might possibly take at BYU. It's a bit stressful, but it is kinda fun to see all the stuff I will be able to take when I return. Definitely most excited for the bowling class, haha.

My companion is Brazilian, so naturally when we see a Brazilian store in our area, we have to go in. He convinced me to get this drink thing called tereré. I got a lemon mint version, and you pour water with a little sugar in it, and it is actually pretty good. It's like a minty Lemonade. I feel like a bit of a hypocrite because I used to trash on it because so many missionaries, especiallythe Brazilian ones worship this stuff. But I had never tried this version and it is low key good. So that was fun to do with him. He got super excited when we got some.

Today, we had our temple pday. It was sooooo good to be back there after not going for a while. I met a guy from England inside, and he was super funny. His accent was a bit strong, so it was hard to understand sometimes, but he was super nice and very extroverted. So that was fun. Once we were all done, we went and messed around Lisbon. I loved being back in my old area and seeing all the places and roads I walked every day. So that was super fun.

Hope you guys are doing great!
