Os Faróis
Olá a todos!
Sorry I haven't written in a while. I've been bad about it for the past few weeks, and our schedule here in the office has been absolutely hectic. Anyway, I hope you all are doing great! We're all doing good here. We just got done with all the zone conferences, which is a big relief. We had to help a ton with distributing materials, giving trainings, and taking lots of pictures and videos. It was all fun though, since I got to see a lot of friends and travel around.
The past few weeks, we have also been able to take a bunch of videos for a project we are doing. We're making a video about all the lighthouses in Portugal and their history and were gonna tie that to the temple. So we have had the chance to go all around the country taking videos of all the lighthouses we can. We started a few weeks ago all the way down south in Faro and Portimao and then made our way over to a little town called Sagres. This one was cool cause it had huge cliffs and giant rocks with lots of turquoise water, and the lighthouse was protected by a fort. The next week, we were up north, so we visited a few after zone conference. Last week, we got to go to the other side of the river and visit the Espichel lighthouse, which is probably the coolest lighthouse in the whole country. It's surrounded by huge cliffs, and it was foggy, so we couldn't even see the ocean below us. It was super cool. There were also abandoned buildings we were able to go walk through, which was super fun. Then last week, we went around from Lisbon, all the way to Cabo da Roca, and visited about 9-10 lighthouses that were on the way. It was super fun.
We didn't have many pdays, but today we were able to go to the temple, which was awesome. We missed our session last transfer, so it was amazing to finally be able to go this time. It's such an awesome place to be. The district decided to go and visit that really cool lighthouse we went to a week ago, and it was so fun. This time, we were able to go into the lighthouse and see all the inner workings and walk around a lot more. It was awesome.
I've run out of time to write more, and I wish I could because a lot of cool things have happened, but I'll have to end it here.
