Another Roadtrip

Olá everyone!

Sorry I haven't written for a while. We had a weird p-day schedule the past two weeks. Not too much happened, but we did have a few really fun days.

For p-day on Wednesday, we went as a district to the temple. Unfortunately because of some crazy traffic, we missed our session just barely. We did get to go and do a lot of baptisms at least, which was awesome. We also went to Cristo Rei together, which was really fun.

On Thursday, we got to drive back up to Coimbra to film a few videos. We left in the morning and drove two hours to get there. Then we picked up the elders there and left to a nearby small town called Lousã to film our first video. For this one, we went into a forest and filmed a video about running. This is actually with my MTC companion, Elder Spencer, who is a really good runner. So it was an absolute blast to run around an old European forest with a camera. We found some really cool old buildings and stuff.

Later that day, we filmed two music videos with the district that is in Coimbra. Two of the Elders, Elder Prestwich and Gonsalves, can absolutely shred on the ukulele. So we recorded a few songs in a park, and it was awesome. We had a few people stop and listen, which was cool. So those videos will be really fun to edit.

Yesterday, I got to teach an English class, but instead of a regular classroom style one, we did a cooking class to help them learn different types of food and cooking terms. It was really fun, and everyone there seemed to love it.

Today, we had p-day, and we just kinda hung out in Benfica the whole day. We went to a few stores, and I bought the Catan card game for 10€, and it is such a fun game. Also, when we went to go get groceries, we found a 28-pound watermelon. So, of course we had to buy it. I don't think I've ever eaten so much watermelon in a single day. Best purchase on the mission yet.

Today, we also had a baptism in Benfica, which was awesome! It was someone the sisters had been teaching for a while, so it was good to see him make that covenant with Heavenly Father.

All the pictures I took are still on the Nikon camera, so unfortunately, all I really have is the one of the watermelon. The picture doesn't do it justice.
