Olá a gente!


Sorry I missed last week's email. Again. Sometimes, it just goes right over my head if I'm too tired. It was a good week, although you guys didn't miss much. It was a pretty vanilla week, other than Saturday.


On Saturday, we were able to bring two of our recent converts to the temple! It was awesome to be able to finally see them be able to go. I was able to help them both do baptisms, although it was cut short when I came out of the water and a bloody nose started. So that's a first for me. Afterward, we went to go eat with them. One of them, Benvinda, had to move back to Angola, which stinks, but we're glad we were able to bring her before she left on Sunday. 


For pday, we got permission from president to go paintballing, which was awesome. But, unfortunately, we weren't able to go because we had to do a down-payment to reserve a spot, but we don't have the method of payment they accept. So, instead, we did the next best thing. Laser tag. It was pretty fun, but running around in a hot room with big helmets on isn't the most comfortable. Totally worth it, though.


We had transfers this last week, too. We were totally surprised by the news. I will be staying a fourth transfer here in Lisbon, which is crazy. My old comp, Elder Madrid, was only here for two transfers and was district leader, so that pretty much guaranteed he would stay here and I leave. But I'm staying, and he's going. Pretty crazy. Good thing I love this place, and get one more. My new comp is Elder Feo, and he's from Uruguay. He's super cool and funny. It'll be a great transfer. We already marked a baptismal date for one of our amigas! 


This week, we had a temple trip for pday. So that was really fun and a blessing as always. It never gets old getting to go there. Afterward, we all went to this big park that's under a bridge, and we ate lunch and had a huge water balloon fight. It was awesome except for the fact that as I was running around trying to avoid the balloons, there was a hidden curb I didn’t see, and I totally biffed it onto a gravel sidewalk. Good thing I didn’t hurt myself too bad, just a scraped up knee. But overall, it was super super fun to have a water balloon fight in the hot weather that we have been having.

The Office

Olá todos!! Hope you all had a great week. This last Friday was transfers, and with 4 whole transfers, or 6 months in Lapa, it was almost a 100% guarantee that I would be leaving. And if you couldn't guess from the spoiler in the title, I have been transfered to the mission office doing social media/technology! It's awesome because we basically make all the videos and content for the whole mission, and I love this stuff so it will be a great time here. We also get to travel all around Portugal, so I will have a chance to see the whole country.  Anyways, my last week in Lapa was awesome. We had one last district council, which was awesome. I made garlic knots for the district, and then we also went and ate burritos. Burritos are always one of the best parts of the week. We also had a few last meals with members, which were all awesome. Four Languages

Olá gente! This last week was a good one. We were able to put two of our friends on date for baptism! They're awesome, and we love teaching them.  Last week, we found a new friend from the Congo. At first, she just wanted to do a Bible study with us in Portuguese, because she wants to learn portuguese. Then after a bit, she started asking questions about missionaries, the church, and other things. She spoke English with us, but she's a native French speaker. So her Bible was French, which she read with us, but she somehow had a Spanish Book of Mormon. So we spoke English, read Spanish and French scriptures, and spoke some Portuguese. It was a very fun and interesting lesson. On Saturday, we were able to have a branch Christmas dinner. It turned out great, and we all had a great time.
