Burgers And Fries. And Pizza
Eaí meus amigos!
The past week and a half have been awesome. We marked a baptism for this Saturday with our friend, Benvinda, who is absolutely awesome. She is always awesome to teach because she is a sponge for knowledge about the gospel. She loves learning everything about the church and Christ and is super smart too. Sometimes we'll even learn something from her. So we are really excited to see her make that choice!
We taught a ton of lessons too, so there was also a lot of walking. My legs have been perpetually tired, and it is getting really hot outside too. It's good though, cause I'm burning off all the calories I eat from the member meals we have, haha. Anyway, we found this family, a mother and son, who we are teaching and they are super cool. They keep asking us to come over multiple times a week, which is awesome and they absolutely love all of the lessons. Excited to see how they progress.
We had the chance to go to the temple today, which was awesome! It's always so fun to be able to go, and it seems to get better every time. After our district was done, we decided to eat lunch at this 50's American diner. It was funny to see all the stuff in there and to try the burgers and milkshakes there. They even had little tableside jukeboxes. So that was pretty fun.
After we finished eating, we decided to go to a big art/history museum. There was lots of stuff there, like ancient Egyptian art pieces, ancient Greek vases and coins, and lots of old European paintings, books, and statues. It was really cool to see all that history and how they did lots of the art.
Scripture of the week: Doctrine and Covenants 4:7
Ask and ye shall receive, knock and it shall be opened unto you.
I like this scripture because it's really simple, but it tells us what we need to do to receive answers to our questions. It also goes well with James 1:5. Heavenly Father will always give us the answers we need, we just need to ask
Tchau!
